About Me
I am a Ph.D. student in the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California, under the supervision of Prof. Jong-Shi Pang. Before coming to USC, I earned an M.S. in Mathematics from the National University of Singapore, following my undergraduate studies at the University of Sydney, where I received a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Finance and Mathematics.
Current Work
My current research includes developing game-theoretic equilibrium models for transportation and energy systems, particularly mixed-autonomy transportation networks and coupled transportation–electricity systems, and studying nonconvex optimization problems involving integer variables and complementarity constraints.

Research Interests
My research focus includes:
- Optimization Theory and Algorithms
- Game Theory and Equilibrium Modeling
- Variational Inequalities and Complementarity Problems
- Transportation and Energy Systems
Game theory is what fascinates me most! I enjoy using it to understand how different decision-makers interact in complex systems, particularly in transportation and energy markets. Beyond modeling real-world problems, I am equally interested in the mathematical foundations of optimization and equilibrium problems. How can we better understand their theoretical properties and develop efficient algorithms to solve them, especially when existing methods fall short? Exploring these questions is a central part of my research.
Beyond Research
My Journey 🌍
🇨🇳 China → 🇦🇺 Australia → 🇸🇬 Singapore → 🇺🇸 United States → To be continued…
I’ve always loved exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. Each country I’ve lived in has brought unforgettable memories and new perspectives on life. I’m excited to see where my next adventure takes me!
Things I Enjoy
-
Rock Music
— Especially Second Hand Rose (二手玫瑰)! There’s something truly special about their music that keeps me hooked, and their live performances are absolutely incredible!
-
Werewolf 🐺🌙 — A game where trusting the wrong person is half the fun, and convincing others to trust you is the other half!
-
Web Novels 📚♾️ — Too many novels read, too many fictional worlds explored, and an ever-growing reading list. AI may be making stories more abundant, finding a truly captivating one is the real challenge. And the ones I absolutely love? They earn a permanent spot on my bookshelf!
